National Grilled Cheese Day is celebrated annually on April 12th.

National Grilled Cheese Day celebrates the simple yet exquisite combination of melty cheese and crispy, toasted bread. Yes, it is a combination that is loved by those of all ages, except for the lactose intolerant.

On National Grilled Cheese Day, families across the nation are pulling out their favorite cast iron skillet, their favorite cheeses, fresh bread and putting together their crunchy, softy, gooey, and simple grilled cheese sandwiches.

If you take a look back to your childhood, I’m sure you have memories of enjoying a nice hot melty grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of your favorite soup on a cold winter day.

Now That we waxed rhapsodic about the grilled cheese sandwich, let's talk about how we can make this better.

What if we were to take two grilled cheese sandwiches and slide a cheeseburger between them? It would be absolutely delicious!

That's what Bull 'N Mouth, in Davis, California, did with their Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger. They took a cheddar grilled cheese sandwich, cut in half, and used it as a bun. Inside of that grilled cheese sandwich they slipped in a cheeseburger patty with melted cheddar cheese topped it with bacon added pickled red onion along with their special proprietary burger sauce which they call “Bull Sauce.” It is a phenomenal cheeseburger.

If you want to take your grilled cheese sandwich to the next level, I suggest giving this idea a try. The sky's the limit with this combination.
