Burger Breakdown
So...tell me about your burgers.
Bull 'N Mouth in Davis, Ca cooks up some mean burgers. The current menu only has four burger choices. It is worth noting that earlier in the year, there were seven burger choices on the menu. So, there has been some trimming of the burger offerings.
Today's choice was the Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger. From the menu, this thing is two sandwiches in one; a monster beef patty with cheddar cheese with a grilled cheese sandwich (cheddar also) as the bun.
The condiments are the basics. The Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger comes with pickled onions, bacon, and Bull Sauce.
Burgers come with fries or a side salad. You can also upgrade to garlic fries for an additional cost of $2.00.
At the time of purchase, the Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger arrives at the table for a modest $16.00. Not too bad for a burger and fries.
Let's See What We Have Here
The only way to really enjoy a restaurant burger is to dine in. I certainly wasn't disappointed with this meal. The Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger came to the table stacked high on the finest of pub-style white plates. Complete with a wooden skewer holding the tower of meat and cheese together.

The Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger, doesn't come with a traditional bun. On this sanga, the bun is replaced with a grilled cheese sandwich. Two slices of deli-style white breat with melty cheddar cheese between. This "bun" was nicely toasted with a wonderful crispy crust.

This cardiologist's delight came to the table fully assembled. No need to add any toppings. Just pull the pin and eat.
The menu mentioned that this burger comes with "Bull Sauce." To me, the sauce was a little watery and really didn't bring much to the party. Light on flavor and applied with a light touch. I would say, "thicken that sauce up and put on a nice creamy layer."
Produce on the Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger is minimal. Only thing on it that came from the garden is the pickled onions. The acid from the pickled onions helped cut through all of the fat in the burger. I would suggest that they add more pickled onions to increase that fresh crunch and bring more acid to help balance out the fat.
The burger came with a side of pickled peppers that I also added to the sandwich. This added more crunch and helped to balance things out.
Cheese is certainly the star of this sanga. With plenty of cheese in the "bun" and on the burger patty, this thing ooozes with cheese.
Burger came to the table as ordered. I like my burgers cooked medium. This patty hovered right around the mark. It certainly smelled delicious and was plenty juicy and tender. The grilled cheese sandwich bread readily soaked up any juices that escaped from the patty. I would suggest a bit more salt to bring out a more of the beef flavor.

This burger behemoth came with a pile of nicely-salted steak fries - hot, crispy and fresh. Ketchup is on the table so able to dip my fries to my heart's content.
The Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger also came with a side of pickled peppers. Thise were nice and tasty. Added them to the burger for a little extra crunch.
It's a Wrap
The Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger from Bull 'N Mouth is a "must try" burger. As I mentioned before, this thing is a monster of a burger. So you may want to limit it to birthdays and special holidays. There was so much food on this plate that I didn't finish the my fries.
Super great value as well. Affordably priced and includes fries.
Have this for lunch and you can skip dinner.
