A Cheeseburger for breakfast? It might sound crazy, but it is nothing but absolutely delicious. Think of a breakfast sandwich from your fast food restaurant or a national coffee chain. Now, kick it up a couple of notches with a special blend of seasonings, flavorful cheeses, savory and spicy sauces, and crisp produce. When you put all of these things together, you get one tasty Cheeseburger Guru Breakfast Sandwich.
With this recipe, I will give you the basics. But, as with any recipe, you can customize it with your favorite ingredients and make it your own. For example, this recipe is created using American cheese. Well, feel free and mix it up with your own favorite style of cheese. I would recommend something funky and melty.
Same with the bun. I suggest using an english muffin, brioche cheeseburger roll, or a flaky croissant. Either of these would be a good choice for a breakfast cheeseburger. But, don't let that limit your bun choice. Be adventurous and give a mini hoagie roll or even a pretzel bun a chance to grace your breakfast table. The choice is all yours.
When making the Breakfast Cheeseburger, you can use either ground beef or ground pork. The choice is yours. Either way, this cheeseburger will be amazing.
Also, the measurement for the ground meat is for about 2 lbs. of seasoned meat which makes roughly 11ea - 3oz burger patties. Adjust the recipe as necessary for your quantities.

Directions for making the Ultimage Breakfast Cheeseburger
Prepare your Ground Meat Mixture
Into a medium-sized mixing bowl, add your ground meat and gently break it apart.
Distribute your seasoning evenly over the top of the ground meat: salt, sage, black pepper, parsley, thyme, coriander, red pepper flakes, fennel, and MSG.
Mix seasonings into the meat until just evenly combined.
Avoid over-mixing the meat as the mixture will become more dense and will have more of a sausage feel than a cheeseburger feel after cooking.
Portion your ground meat mixture into 85 gram (3oz) servings. Roll the meat mixture into balls and set aside.
Place the meatballs between two pieces of parchment paper. Using a flat utensil, such as a plate, skillet, or protein press, press down on the parchment paper, forming the meatballs into patties. Place in the refrigerator and allow to rest for about an hour.
Cook your Bacon
You can either cook your bacon on stovetop or you can cook it in the oven.
On the stovetop, place your bacon into a pre-heated skillet and cook until crispy. Remove cooked bacon from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain and cool.
In the oven, prereheat the oven to 350° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place your bacon strips flat on the parchment paper with a bit of space between each piece of bacon. Place baking sheet into the oven and cook until bacon is golden brown delicous. Remove the pan from the oven. Place the cooked bacon on a paper towel-lined plate to drain and cool.
Prepare the Breakfast Sandwich Sauce
In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Sriracha, lemon juice, sugar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Using a whisk, combine well. Cover and set aside.
Prepare your Toppings
Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Rinse the tomato and thinly slice. Peel and thinly slice the onion. Set aside.
Toast your Buns
Heat a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add butter and allow to melt, but not burn. When the butter is melted, place the breakfast burger buns cut side down into the skillet. Slide the buns around to soak up the melted butter. Toast the cut side of the bun until golden brown. Flip the buns over and toast the outside of the bun until golden brown. Remove the bun from heat and set aside. Use a paper towel to remove any excess butter from the cast iron skillet.
Cook your Breakfast Patties
Increase the heat on your cast iron skillet to medium-high and heat until the skillet reaches 400° F. Place your breakfast sausage patties into the heated cast iron skillet. No need to season as they are already highly seasoned.
Allow the patties to cook undisturbed until juices begin to form on the surface of the breakfast patties (about 2-3 minutes).
Using a spatula, flip the breakfast burger patty over. Add the cheese to each patty.
Allow patties to cook to your preferred level of doneness.
Using a spatula, remove the cooked breakfast patties from the skillet.
Set aside and cover to keep warm.
Use a paper towel to clean the inside of the skillet.
Cook your Eggs
Reduce the heat on your skillet to medium. Place 2 tbsp of butter into the skillet and allow it to melt, but not burn. Add the eggs to the skillet and cook to your preferred level of doneness. Salt and pepper to taste.
Prep the Breakfast Sandwiches
While the eggs are cooking, begin preparing the breakfast sandwiches by adding the breakfast sandwich sauce to the inside of both the top and bottom bun. On the top bun, add two slices of tomato, lettuce, and 2 to 3 rings of red onion. Place a cooked breakfast patty on the bottom bun. When the eggs are done cooking, place an egg on top of the breakfast burger patty. Take the top bun and ingredients and crown your breakfast sandwich.
Serve with a side of hash brown and fresh fruit.
The perfect way to start the day!
