Burger Breakdown

The Visit

Stopped by Rock Bottom for a late lunch and give their Deluxe Cheeseburger a try. Middle of the afternoon and beautiful weather.

No table service here. To order this cheeseburger, I had to go up to the bar. Took some time though. There was nobody at the bar to take an order waited for 5 minutes. No need for reservations here. Although I started to have some reservations.

Interesting vibe. Bit rough around the edges. Perhaps they could powerwash the floors so they weren't so sticky.

So...tell me about your burgers.

Two choices for burgers here, deluxe cheeseburger and double deluxe cheeseburger. I went with the single version of the burger. Burger comes with cheese, of course, lettuce, onions, and mayo. Burger comes solo. If you want fires, they are extra.

At the time of the visit, the Deluxe Cheeseburge was $7.50. Fries were an extre $3.50. There are other items that can be purchased. Look under the appetizer section of the menu.

Let's See What We Have Here

This was a dine-in event. The burger came to the table in a paper-line basket. It was cut in half and they used cocktail straws as sandwich picks. It was screaming "classy." I knew I was in for a treat.

Burger looked ok. Cooked to well-done, which was probably a good thing.

Burger was topped with American cheese, mayonnaise, chopped lettuce, and sliced onion pieces. Veg was fresh and crispy.

Have you tried the bread?

Basic burger bun. Not toasted.

Came to the table ready to eat. 

Mayonnaise was the only sauce on the burger. As mentioned before, lettuce and onions were crisp and fresh. Cheese was melted.

Burger was over-cooked. 

Nothing special about this burger.

Well, I can definitely say that I have had better. It would be hard to say that I have had worse. It was just a piece of meat in a bun with some stuff on it. 

Final words...

I would say that for the price, it was ok. Perhaps shaving off a buck or two would have made it a good value.
