Burger Breakdown

The Visit

The Divine swine is a nice neighborhood grill. Seating is either table tops or booths. Plenty of room not crowded in terms of spacing of tables they have a bar in the back with seating in the bar and in the main dining area. Nice and clean. A great place to sit and enjoy a meal. Grab a booth, they are nice and comfy.

Menu Options

Divine Swine has four choices for burgers. Although the choices are limited, the options are great. Starting at the top they have the Classic Bacon Cheeseburger. This is followed by the Fontina Fire Turkey Burger. then comes the Black & Bleu Burger. The Cow Pig Burger brings up the end of the list.

At the Table

The Cow Pig Burger came pre-assembled. Meal was served on a stylish triangular weight plate. Also came with a nice portion of thick-cut french fries. Presentation included a steak knife stabbed right through the top of the bun into the patty. The knife was a nice touch as you can cut the burger in half and see the burger patty with the combination of pulled pork and ground beef.

The Bun

Brioche roll was nice and fresh. Toasted nicely on the inside. It was not toasted on the outside. But, it was not coated with butter or oils on the outside which made it a pleasure to enjoy. The crumb of the brioche roll was nice and tender.

Condiments and Toppings

This burger came with multiple sauces which included: a nice garlic aioli sauce and A1 steak sauce. The combination between the two sauces was fantastic. On their own both were delicious. I tasted the garlic aioli and would have liked a bit more of that as is as it was fantastic!

This is a meat lovers burger and didn't come with and fresh produce.

The Cow Pig Burger came with jack cheese. I don't think the jack cheese had enough flavor to be noticed. It did add a nice creaminess but, a cheese with a little more zest to it may have been an interesting option. However, I would be careful with cheese selection as to not to compete with the other flavors going on in this sandwich.

The Burger

This burger smelled delicious coming to the table. Couldn't wait to dive in for a bite.

Took a peek at the burger and toppings. Everything looked good on this flattop-grilled burger. Toppings were well distributed except for the garlic aioli. The aioli was only in the center of the bun; didn't reach the edges (check out the photo in the gallery).

Since this was a blended burger (uncooked ground beef and cooked pulled pork), It was difficult to determine how juicy this burger was. It wasn't dry by no means. I think that since the pork was already cooked, there wasn't enough ground beef to make this "drip down your arms" juicy. You can see in the burger cross-section, there is no juice on the plate. There was plenty of moisture to make this burger flavorful and highly enjoyable.

A very tender burger. The mixture of pulled pork and ground beef made the burger easy to bite and you could feel the difference in texture between the ground beef and the pulled pork.

Nicely salted. Nicely seasoned. Didn't need anything to bring out the flavor of the beef and pork.

This was an unusual burger with the mix of ground beef and pulled pork. The addition of the pulled pork made it difficult to determine the to what level the burger was cooked since the pulled pork was well done and the meat was and the ground beef was cooked to medium you can see that the center was fully cooked but the ground beef around the edges was cooked to a nice medium.

On the Side

French fries were delicious nice and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Plenty of them, too.

Final Words

This is definitely a burger you'll come back to. The combination between beef and pork is absolutely delicious. The bacon the cheese and the onion strings made it almost like a western barbecue burger without the barbecue sauce. The garlic aioli and the A1 steak sauce - a perfect compliment to the meat the bun the cheese and the bacon.

Be careful though, this is a heart stopper. There is a lot of beef and pork in this huge hamburger patty.

I will definitely be heading back to Divine Swine for a crack at another burger. I may have the Cow Pig Burger again or may choose from the other Burgers they have on the menu.
